ALP CBT-01 Test Series 2026

CBT 1 under CEN 01/2026 has 75 questions in 60 minutes (80 minutes for PwBD candidates), one mark each, with 1/3 negative marking. It covers three subjects: Mathematics, Mental Ability and General Science, at Class 10 level. Qualifying marks are 40% for UR/EWS, 30% for OBC-NCL and SC, and 25% for ST.

No. General Awareness and Current Affairs were removed from CBT 1 for CEN 01/2026. The paper is now three subjects only — Mathematics, Mental Ability and General Science. Several platforms are still selling four-subject CBT 1 content carried over from the 2024 notification.

No. CBT 1 is purely a screening stage. Its marks are used only to shortlist candidates at 15× the notified vacancies for each RRB, and are then discarded. Final merit for CEN 01/2026 comes from CBT 2 Part A and the CBAT, weighted 50:50.

RRB shortlists 15 times the number of vacancies notified by that board, community-wise. In the CEN 01/2025 cycle, 10,03,719 candidates appeared and 1,58,705 were shortlisted for CBT 2 — roughly one in six.

As of 26 August 2026, RRB has not officially announced the CBT 1 date for CEN 01/2026. The notification was released on 14 May 2026 and applications closed on 14 June 2026. We update this page as soon as an official notice or city-slip release appears.
