What is the click speed test?
A click speed test measures your clicks per second (CPS). On soexam.learnoscale.com you click for a fixed 1, 5, 10, 30 or 60 seconds and get your CPS, a rank and your personal best. The average person scores about 6 CPS with normal clicking; 8 or more is fast, and above 12 is exceptional. The clock starts on your first click, and that click counts. Mouse, keyboard and touchscreen all work, and no account is needed to play.

Tips to get a better score
- Rest your wrist on the desk — holding your arm up costs you speed within a couple of seconds.
- Click with the tip of your finger, not the pad: less travel, less mass to move.
- Stay relaxed. Tension raises your burst speed and collapses your stamina.
- Jitter clicking (tensing your forearm so the finger vibrates) scores higher but is hard on your hand and the switch.
- Compare like with like: your 60-second score will always be below your 1-second score.

What is a click speed test?
A click speed test measures how many times you can click in a fixed period, reported as clicks per second (CPS). The standard test runs for 5 seconds.
What is a good CPS score?
About 6 clicks per second is average with normal clicking. 8 or more is fast, 10 or more is very fast, and above 12 is exceptional. The Guinness record is 760 clicks in one minute, roughly 12.7 CPS.
How do I click faster?
Rest your wrist rather than holding your arm up, use the very tip of your finger, and keep your hand relaxed — tension slows you down over a longer test. Jitter and butterfly clicking score higher but are hard on both your hand and the mouse switch.
Does the timer start straight away?
No. The clock starts on your first click, and that first click is counted. So there is no reaction time to lose at the start.
Can I use the keyboard or a touchscreen?
Yes. Keyboard and touch both work and are scored separately from mouse results, because they are not the same task.
